One Man One Machine:

This debut solo album was created, recorded, and produced entirely by one man (Graham Pellettieri) and one machine (his computer).  The included songs are a diverse collection of tracks that Graham has composed over the last few years (2009 - 2011), and they represent a spectrum of emotional periods in his life; falling in love, experiencing the crash of the economy, traveling, pursuing the American dream of becoming an entrepreneur, and many others.  Although the creation and development of these compositions was a solo project, the ideas behind them are universal in human nature and current times.  It is Graham's hope that these modern-day musical “diaries” of one man and one machine will offer others the chance to share in the emotional journey.

The Man:

Graham Pellettieri is a composer, arranger, music engraver/copyist, audio engineer, studio musician, performer, and violinist.  He has toured with bands in New Hampshire, Colorado, and Los Angeles, and graduated with a degree in music composition from Loyola Marymount in 2003.  On this album he is a one-man band—playing all of the instruments and singing—and has written, self-recorded, and produced every track.

The Machine:

Mac Pro - 2 x 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 12 GB RAM

Audio Interface: Apogee Ensemble

Software: Logic Pro 9, and East West Hollywood Strings

Instruments: All instruments are software based or loops in Logic Pro, with the exception of violin, guitar, and vocals (recorded live in the studio).

I would like to thank my beautiful fiancé, Jennifer Thompson, for her patience and encouragement while writing this album.  You are my inspiration, and “Sweet Perfume” is dedicated to you.  Thank you to my parents, family, and friends who have provided meaning, support, and wisdom for me throughout my life.  Without all of you, music would not carry the same meaning.  Thanks also to Matthew Harrison for your talented artwork and CD design.  Finally, thank you to Notesmith Music for proving that dreams can come true.
